Swanky London Bank Wedding

When we imagine the urban weddings of our dreams, we immediately think of elegant, elegant shops with upscale and upscale venues. Today’s real wedding exceeds these expectations thanks to some of the most fabulous locations in London and a Claire Pettibone wedding dress that falls to the floor.

A grand old bank converted into a beautiful hotel, an ornate cathedral and a chic restaurant form the cornerstone of this beautiful wedding in London. Since each is an architectural masterpiece, the venues offered clear marble backgrounds for the couple’s wedding portraits.

As she roamed the wide aisles between locations, photographer Jessica Williams captured flawless candid moments – as if the city had been closed for her special day.

The dress and the outfit

I have loved Claire Pettibone dresses since I joined my sister in wedding dress in 2015. I saw the Kristen dress back then and when I tried it on two years after, I knew it was the dress I needed!

We found out that the beggars surf on Instagram, the guys are bright, and Terry’s custom-made costume was perfect.

Places and style

We live in Northamptonshire surrounded by the countryside and have therefore attended many weddings in beautiful country houses, barns and marquees. We wanted to plan a different and more relevant day for ourselves.

We have always enjoyed spending time in London and the Hawksmoor is one of our favorite restaurants. When we found out they were busy at their Guildhall restaurant for weddings, it was perfect. We are big food lovers, so it was incredible for us to be able to serve such a good feast to our guests, we knew from the very beginning that the guys from Hawksmoor would get it on the spot.

Places and style

Everything else was set up, the beautiful Jewish St. Lawrence Church was a five-minute walk away and nine months before our big day, Soho House opened its last hotel, the Ned, just around the corner. We booked rooms to spend the days before the wedding and the following days. Most of our guests stayed too, so we really made it a weekend. The return party in the Ned took place in the first hours. It was a lot of fun to walk between the sights that day, and fortunately, the rain withstood.

Photography

We met Jess, our awesome wedding photographer at a wedding fair at the Truman Brewery in Brick Lane, we knew as soon as we saw her work that she would capture our day perfectly! None of us are good at posing, so Jess’s romantic but modern style worked perfectly for us. We couldn’t be happier with the pictures!

Reception

We wanted our day to be really relaxed and fun, we had an awesome magician who entertained the guests at the reception and at dinner. We went to a wedding without a speech, because no one needs this pressure! Instead, we just said a few thanks to our loved ones.

The band started the evening, followed by a DJ, we decided on a first song instead of a first dance and insisted that everyone come to “Chic – Everybody Dance”on the dance floor. The party (and drinks) flowed from there and it was a great pleasure!

Tips For other couples

During the planning phase, Instagram and Pinterest are full of awesome ideas that really help to plan and look at things that you might not have thought of otherwise! Take five minutes during the day to sit down and absorb everything, it’s so fast!

Moon

We went to Costa Rica for our honeymoon, it was fantastic and there were a variety of things to do. From lazy rainforest watching, horseback riding, white water rafting or sunbathing with a cocktail on the beach, Costa Rica has something for everyone and we can’t wait to get back there!
